Why a blog at all?

Every tool on this site rests on an idea — a hash, an entropy estimate, a contrast formula. The tool pages explain those ideas briefly, because you usually arrive with a job to finish. The blog is where the same ideas get room to breathe: the background, the edge cases, and the "yes, but why?" that a quick tool page cannot hold. New articles arrive when a topic earns one, not on a content calendar.
