The service
ToolBench provides a set of free, browser-based utility tools, together with explanatory articles. All tools run locally in your browser. We may add, change, or retire tools at any time, and we may update the site's design and content without notice.
Use of the tools
You may use every tool free of charge, for personal or commercial purposes, as often as you like. No account is required and none is offered. Anything a tool produces for you — a password, a converted image, a formatted document, a piece of generated text — is yours to use as you see fit. We claim no ownership over your inputs or over the outputs the tools generate from them.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the site or its tools to break the law or to harm others. In particular: do not use generated credentials, identifiers, or converted files to commit fraud, impersonate anyone, or gain unauthorised access to any system; do not attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or compromise the site or its hosting; and do not misrepresent the site or its outputs as being certified, audited, or endorsed by any third party. You are responsible for how you use what the tools produce.
No warranty
The site and the tools are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or uninterrupted availability. We work to keep the tools correct and the explanations honest, but we do not guarantee that any output is error-free or suitable for a specific use. Where a result matters — a credential protecting something valuable, a figure in a compliance check — verify it independently, as our disclaimer explains.
Intellectual property
The site's text, articles, design, layout, and code are the property of ToolBench or its contributors and are protected by applicable copyright law. You may link to any page, and you may quote short excerpts of articles with credit and a link. You may not republish the site's pages or articles wholesale, or present its design and content as your own work. The names and marks of third parties mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ToolBench and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site or the tools — including lost data, lost credentials, lost profits, or decisions made in reliance on a tool's output. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
External links
Pages on this site may link to external websites. Those sites are outside our control, and we are not responsible for their content, availability, or privacy practices. A link is a convenience, not an endorsement.
Changes to these terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. The current version will always be the one published on this page, with its "last updated" date. Continuing to use the site after a revision takes effect counts as accepting the revised terms. If a change is substantial, we will say so on this page rather than burying it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction from which the site is operated. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full effect.
